I have been hopping on the bicycle and doing tours of libraries around me. Mill Valley, Lafayette and San Pablo libraries have been my favorites. Mill Valley and Lafayette are nice with the dark woods. San Pablo library has a cool industrial look.
Albany library use to be one of my favorites before the lockdown. Now it is a depressing place. Not too much seating and less computers. It basically says, “Get what you need and leave.” Feels like a ghost town.
July arrived and it brings clouds, wind and cold. Not one of my favorite months to ride in. It is basically the wind. Seems to always be a head wind. The side winds can be brutal too.
My ride through downtown Larkspur and San Anselmo to the library.
Gas prices in California are approaching $7. Guess this will start another bicycle buying spree. The people who gave up their bicycles after the lockdown ended might go with electric bicycles. Easier pedaling and get to where they are going faster. Still I don’t want an electric bicycle. The battery might die before my ride ends and I don’t want to remember to recharge it. Have enough problems keeping up with the phone.
