Rough Day on the Bicycle

Probably should have skipped the bicycle ride today. It is cold and rain is spotty. But decided to pedal on.

Going through the light at San Pablo Ave and Church Lane a car making a right decides to hit me. I tried to keep the bicycle up, but it ended up sliding on its side and I stayed on my feet. Everything on the Bicycle looks fine and I don’t seem to be hurt.

I’m on the Ohlone Trail by the Del Norte Apartments and my rear tire feels low. Looks like I got to change a flat.

I was going to ride to Barnes and Noble but I think I will take a ride to the Pedaler and have the bicycle looked at. Looks like the rear real has a slight wobble.

Looks like the rear tire has a slow leak. I didn’t see anything when I checked the tire and rim. I’ll let the mechanic at the Pedaler deal with it.

The mechanic did find a small piece of metal which caused a slow leak. The rear rim does need to be trued. I get an appointment for 6 December. I decided to get a tune up while it is there and I leave the bicycle. Now for the walk home.

What I had to carry on my walk home.

At 1440 I get a call from the Pedaler that the bicycle is done. This is good news. Now to get the bicycle rack on the car and go pick it up.

The bicycle is home. I don’t work on Monday so I can go on a bicycle ride. Can’t keep a bicyclist down.
