The San Francisco Bay Area has come a long way with bike riding, but it is coming along. Though politicians may be pro bike riding they really need people driving cars. Cities get money from car registration and the money received from the taxes on gas.

The car is not going away, there may not be as many, but it is not going away. Not everybody wants to ride a bike. But riding a bike should be safe.
