A Day Spent With Bonk and Other things

The rain decided not to visit today. Time to go on pedal and run some errands.

I wasn’t really feeling it. So I started my ride in bonk mode and couldn’t ride my way out of it. The snack didn’t work. Hell I was probably just tired.

The ride to and from Orinda on San Pablo Dam road is one of my favorite rides.

Looking at the San Pablo Reservoir and it is really low. If California don’t get rain and a great snow pack it could be empty. California might be in big trouble with no rain and a fire season.

Haven’t rode Castro Ranch Road in some time. Was nice to see bicycle lanes. Nice to ride and cars are not that close to me.

Really need to motivate myself to ride Cummings Skyway to Martinez. I really have to be rested because Cummings Skyway to Martinez is uphill. I refuse to do Pig Farm Hill. That hill kills me. Maybe next Saturday?

I like Rides of Japan. When he does a bicycle build he weighs everything. Yeah he wants the lightest bicycle. Still he is entertaining and that is what it is all about.

Cycling, in and of itself, isn’t really a social sport. It may be for cliques and groups of friends, but honestly cycling is geared towards introverts.-Jonny Appleseed.

I ride alone. I want to do what I want to do and not check with someone. I can change my route at any time during a ride. My routes are never set. I want to stop when I want. Never know when I will find a good hamburger place.

More when the mood strikes.
