Bicycling and Hiking

Got a day off so I’m heading out to Martinez and going to see if there are bicycle racks at Mt. Wanda and going for a hike.

This is going to work. There are bicycle racks. Going to lock up the bicycle and going to check out Mt. Wanda.

Let the hiking begin. Why I like riding with hiking boots. Never know when I will choose to hike or bump into a nice hike.
Mt. Wanda is nice hike. Slight climbs but not too bad. Once I got past the climb it is pretty flat.
There is a nice view at the top and a bench to have a seat and rest.

It did get a little warm, but I had my water bottles. I rather ride my bicycle to Mt. Wanda. There is a small parking lot. Arrive at the wrong time and it could be full and I would have to park on the street.

Not a bad way to spend a day off from work. Who am I kidding I rather be bicycling riding and hiking than being at work.

Mill Valley Ride

It is foggy out and my legs are not feeling it, but I’m going to ride out to Mill Valley. See how this works out. I could change my mind if my legs start whining.

Just hit the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge and the legs are doing good. Haven’t heard no complaints, so I’m going to do the ride to Mill Valley.

The climbs were rough since I really haven’t done much climbing. Hello rain who slowed down my riding. I’m glad you are gone. Now I can build up my legs. At least they weren’t whining during the climbs.

Since I’m here I think I will stop at Phyllis Giant Burger and get me a bacon cheeseburger.

This was a great tasting burger and can’t beat crinkly fries. Won’t be eating dinner tonight. I’m stuffed. This was worth the ride to Mill Valley.

I was going to stop at Barnes and Noble in Corte Madera for a short break. Get some reading in. Got a shock, it closed down. I liked this Barnes and Noble. The cafe was always quiet and you didn’t see students taking up space doing homework. They had a sign to go to El Cerrito.

Ended up doing 50 miles and the legs feel good. Not a bad day on the Bicycle.
