Ride my Errands

Today was a day to hop on my bicycle to ride my errands. I had to get some shopping done.

Stopped by Williams Natural Foods. Needed to get some Dr. Bronner’s pure-castille soap. I really like this soap. So many uses. Best of all the ingredients are natural.

Saw the Gipon’s Golden blackberry honey. Of course I had to get a jar. I like different flavor honey and best of all it is raw and unfiltered.

I remembered to bring my rewards card. I always keep forgetting it.

So off to Barnes and Noble. Going to have some green tea and get some reading in.

I like that the cafe area is empty.

I really don’t need books. But I saw one that got my attention. Kin Folk Travel: Slower Ways to See the World by John Burns. Seems to be my style. I ride slow and I see more. Going on foot is another way I like to see things.

Contra Costa College is becoming a good break spot. It is quiet and I get some reading done before the final pedal home.

Was a nice day on the bicycle.

Wandering on my Bicycle

The Pentax K70 is great for landscape photography. These were shot using the Pentax 35mm lens. Love this lens.

Stopped in Orinda for a break. Got some tea at Peet’s. A little energy for the pedal home.

I really don’t eat much on my bicycle rides anymore. The lockdown and not being able to go inside to get something to eat stopped me from getting anything.

It doesn’t help that the places I enjoyed stopping at have closed and the ones that are open I refuse to pay the high prices. Not like my wages are keeping up.

I haven’t rode on Alhambra for a couple of years. The left side of the road was mostly gone. There was a stop sign because only one car could go at a time. It finally got fixed and looks good.

I did pretty good riding Bear Creek Road to San Pablo Dam Road. Not much of a hill rider still wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be.

So according to the groundhog there will be six more weeks of winter. In the San Francisco Bay Area winter went on vacation. Great weather for bicycle riding.

Keep pedaling
