Bicycle Days

Taking a break by the bay. It is nice and quiet and a good time for a nap.

Seems like in may the bike/walk trails have been pretty empty. The weather has been pretty nice too.

The Lone Tree Point Trail is basically open. It is to open in June, but people are taking the fence down and using it anyway.

Road repairs have amped up. I don’t like riding through a construction zone so I try to avoid them. I have turned around than to go through one. I don’t want to go through it on the way back.

People who don’t want to ride with the flow of traffic because they are scared, they should ride against traffic. Just stay off the street until you can ride with the flow of traffic.

I kind of get it because people driving cars can get close. I think some do it on purpose. But I just pedal on.

Road cyclist who ride too fast on bike/walk trails should just stay on the streets. People can be unpredictable especially kids and dogs.

The bike/walk trails are coming along and I like it. It keeps me off the streets and gives me a little peace.

Still don’t like that Richmond CA decided to put a homeless encampment along the Richmond Parkway. It is along the bike path and I don’t like avoided dogs. Use to take it on my way home and cut through Point Pinole. Now I just take San Pablo Ave to get home.

I tried riding the shoulder on the Richmond Parkway and not go through the homeless encampment but they through garbage along the shoulder and takes me into traffic.

Still the bicycling infrastructure is coming along so I’m happy.
